PROJECT: IN MOTION

In Motion Entertainment is a small production company who specializes in live and special events for the stage and television. In Motion approached us with the need for a renewed series of sales tools. Their most visible sales tool had been an outdated website that was difficult to update in-house. In Motion wanted to keep their existing logo but build brand new elements around it to reflect their new work and goals as a company.

Bao Vo Creative created a new identity system, an easy-to-update website, sales kit, portfolio booklets and stationary.

THE IN MOTION IDENTITY:

"RGB LIGHT BLUR"

After plenty of visual research and a series of interiews with In Motion's principals, our approach was to create a visual abstraction of the In Motion name, represented by motion blurred light spots.

We used brighter versions of the colors of light: Red, Green and Blue to create the main graphic elements. A bold and modern, yet professional typeface was chosen to show the company's pride in their balance of creativity and ability to execute projects on time and on budget.

The new design system was encapsulated and explained in the official In Motion Styleguide, giving future designers instructions to create new designs consistent with the existing pieces.

In Motion's website is built around the WordPress infrastructure, providing the client an easy way to update, add pages, and change their video reel and images in house.

SALES KIT AND STATIONARY

We also created a complete sales folder, containing a printed portfolio booklet, business cards, and a DVD reel.

A 20-page softcover portfolio booklet was created to be used when the client needed to emphasize the highly visual nature of their projects. The booklet showcases In Motion's work with short descriptions, full-page photos and production renderings.

Stationary included letterhead and envelopes, buckslips or notecards, and stylized DVD-R onto which In Motion could burn customized reels for each proposal.
